This post shd have come much earlier ... but dunno wats wrong wif my home pc , keeps exiting the browser automatically .... guess i would have to format it soon ....
Celebrated my 20th one day later on saturday .... 6 of us me , dingze, xueli, siong eng, zheng chang, zhenru went Ai Qing Hai at Marina Square . It was a first visit for three of us .... We were the first audiences to reach at 7pm .... performance only started after 730 ....
The first duet was led by a duo of 2 guys .... 1 guitarist and one singer ..... They mainly belted out chinese oldies like those by Wu Qi Xian, Li Fei Hui, Sky Wu etc. The singer had a voice which could be considered relatively high for a guy ...
I would personally have preferred the 2nd performance which started at ard 9 plus .... led by a keyboardist cum guitarist with 2 singers (1 male, 1 female).... they started the show with hits frm the "Si Xiao Tian Wang " and "Tiao Hou" which were singers like Jimmy Lin, Wu Qi Long, Zhou Hui Min etc .... as they had song the four heavenly queens and kings the previous time round .... The cafe had this small pieces of paper where u can write down ur song dedications and have the waiter send it to the singer for you .... Hmmz 2 of my dedications were sung out in the end .... "Ji De"by Ah Mei as well as "Ai Qing Bu Neng Zuo Bi Jiao" by baby.
Towards the late part of the night .... the hosts sang a bday song and brought in the cake for us ,.... which was rather embarassing as the whole cafe was clapping to the tempo of the song .... and all eyes were on me ..... bt was indeed quite touching la .... first time that many pple celebrated together ..... Opened my present while on the way back ... they bought me a black leather wallet which was wat i like la ... wanted to change my wallet veri long liao ... so it just came in useful ....Thanks to all who had send me greetings, smses , msn messages , emails etc ..... thanks for the cake and presents .... This was indeed one bday i'll remember :P
